"Solitude" is a parlor kaleidoscope by Jeffery Ray Wear. This scope is chrome with brass accents and a wooden base. It is a dry, turning end object chamber that inclues lampworked glass and a textured glass end. The middle brass knob on the scope allows the viewer to change the angle of the kaleidoscope. This scope is a 2-mirror system that produces a 6-point mandala. Titled (Solitude), numbered (2/25), signed (Jeffery Ray Wear) and dated (1996). It measures approximately 13"T x 10-1/2"L, 8"W at the base and weighs 10 lbs. The scope barrel is approximately 11"L x 3-1/2" in diameter.
