'Spinner' is a brilliantly fun, vintage, handheld kaleidoscope by American artist Danny Wilson. This COLLECTORS piece has a body of sturdy construction from glossy glass panels in deep red with vivid rainbow effect on the surface. There is a unique turning & spinning, double-axis object barrel constructed of various strips of very interesting, colorful, textured, stained glass and agate, with assorted glass and crystal faceted gemstones, Dichroic (color shifting) glass, a crystalized geode slice, a wiggly chain of rhinestones, metal adornments, and fancy soldering, but peek inside the barrel and you will see colored glass rods that add varying layers of depth to the imagery created. Slowly spin this interesting barrel (but don't forget to turn the entire barrel too!) and move a flashlight around the barrel, and the imagery will shift colors to create almost endless and gorgeous kaleidoscopic imagery. This scope's construction is sturdy and the barrel is easily removable, making cleaning and care a breeze. The imagery is absolutely spectacular and MUCH better with the naked eye than the camera could capture, best viewed on a PC, I had a lot of fun shooting this scope. Simply a must for collectors, this rare piece of art measures approximately 14"L x 6.5"T x 4.5"W including the barrel, and is initialed (JDWIII) by the artist.
