'Splash' (COLLECTORS ALERT!) is a fantastical handheld kaleidoscope by renowned American kaleidoscope artists Luc and Sallie Durette. The body was created in a beautiful Maple veneer wood with polished Brass end-caps. Inside there is a 2-mirror, 11-point system and the dry, turning, side and front lit object cell contains teeny-tiny handmade lamp-worked glass pieces with a strip of translucent holographic film around the cell side wall that plays with light as it passes through it. The cell also features a polarized filter for a RAINBOW SHIFTING BACKGROUND which makes for crisp and utterly spectacular "mandala-style" kaleidoscopic imagery. Measures approximately 8.5"L x 2.5"Diameter. Signed (Durette '01) by the artists and includes a metal and suede stand.
