'Stained Glass Parlor' is a spectacular kaleidoscope by American artist Sue Rioux. Sue specifically created this gorgeous piece for her 2025 kaleidoscope making class right here at Nellie Bly in Jerome, Arizona. This is the scope was created while teaching her students to make the same along side her and now it's up for grabs! The body is made from 14 dichroic (color shifting) glass panels, in some of the most spectacular glass I've ever seen used on a scope. There is both a 2-mirror, 7-point system and a 3-mirror, 7-point system so you get two scopes in one body. There is a turning, side-lit, oil-filled, black background, glass object cell containing a rainbow assortment of lampwork glass pieces, millefiori slices, beads, wires, dichroic bits, and other sparkly things. The scope is attached to an iridescent black stained glass base, with a rainbow iridescent glass rectangle accent, mounted onto a wooden disk. Piece measures approximately 9.25"T x 10"L x 2.5"Diameter at the viewing end. Signed (Sue Rioux) and dated ('25) by the artist. This rare scope will be a fantastic collector's piece.
