'Sunset 101' (2003) is an incredible (vintage - 24 years) kaleidoscope collaboration by American artists Judith Paul, Tom Durden, and Steve Hopkins. Steve created the gorgeous solid Cocobolo wood body, Judith and Tom created the object cell and internal 2-mirror, 7-point system. This scope has a turning, side lit, oil-filled, black backgrounded object cell featuring an assortment of tiny pearly beads, fantastic handmade lamp-worked glass pieces, twisty wires, metal beads, and other colorful, sparkly items. All of these elements together create absolutely spectacular traditional "mandala-style" kaleidoscopic imagery to delight anyone looking inside. Measures approximately 10"T x 3.25"Diameter at the viewing end and includes a wooding resting cradle. This RARE collector's scope is one of only 15 created by these artists together.
