Product Details
'Synchrony' is an elegant parlor kaleidoscope created by American artists Mark and Carol Reynolds. The body has gorgeous wood veneer with a beautiful stripe of inlaid wood in an intricate geometric pattern. 'Synchrony' comes with three interchangeable object cells that are turning, side lit, oil-filled, each with a differing background, and containing a variety of interesting items including; assorted beads, seashells, dichroic glass, and handmade lamp-worked glass pieces. To switch cells, hold the tiny black lever (it's attached to the "turning-ring") steady and slowly twist the cell to release it from the scope, be careful to not over tighten the new cell or it will be more difficult to remove later. Reverse the process to attach a different cell to the scope, they screw on/off just like filters on a camera. The base features two cut-out sections to set the extra cells into while not in use. This is a 3-mirror system that produces absolutely superior "full-view" kaleidoscopic imagery. Entire piece measures approximately 15.5"T x 16"L x 6.75"W, with the scope itself at around 14"L x 2.75" Diameter. Signed with the artist initials at the viewing end.
NOTE: Because each kaleidoscope is individually handmade by the artist and nature, variations in natural wood grains can be expected. Please call us ahead of purchasing with any questions you may have.
