'The Wright Brothers' is a large, one-of-a-kind, parlor kaleidoscope by Japanese artist and scope Master Koji Yamami. The scope body was created in panels of iridescent black stained glass, dichroic glass, and textured iridescent glass with hand painted portraits of the Wright Brothers themselves on one side, and features a cool bi-wing airplane (complete with spinning propellers) on top and the title and the brothers name are elegantly etched into the design. The body houses a uniquely altered mirror system which creates spectacular, colorful, 3-dimensional kaleidoscopic imagery. There are two turning object wheels; first a colorful, dichroic, and textured stained glass "pin-wheel" design wheel, and secondly, a turning, dry, glass octagon object cell with a clear side and a blue swirled translucent side, containing delicate handmade lampwork glass pieces. This scope has a larger than usual viewing port for ease in viewing the spectacular imagery inside. Entire piece measures approximately 18.5"T x 10"L x 6"W and is titled (The Wright Brothers), dated ('23), and signed by the artist.
