'The Sea Parrot' is a VINTAGE (1998) handheld kaleidoscope by American artist and renowned kaleidoscope creator, Sue Rioux. The body was constructed from gorgeous swirled blue glass panels that have a gorgeous iridescent rainbow sheen, with cobalt blue glass rods lining the side edges, and a glittery blue, glass pebble accent. Inside is a 3-mirror system with a spinning, oil-filled, glass object cylinder filled with large glass beads, assorted sequined shapes, dichroic (color shifting) glass chunks, and thin glass rods. Together, these elements create lovely kaleidoscopic imagery to delight anyone peeking inside. Measures approximately 10"L x 5"W x 1.75"T and the object cylinder is 6.75"L from knob to knob. Titled (The Sea Parrot), dated (1998-190) and signed (Sue Rioux) by the artist.
