'Wishes - Love' is a spectacular VINTAGE (1996) collector's parlor kaleidoscope by renowned American kaleidoscope artist Sherry Moser. The trilateral body was created in clear glass panels, sandblasted and painted with Kanji (Japanese for "wish"), then handmade textured black paper was placed beneath the clear panels. Black glass rods accent the edges with exquisitely fancy soldering overall, and little stones on the base with Kanji engraved into one. There are TWO oil-filled object cells, interchangeable by using a tiny lever to remove and replace each. The first cell is clear with a black background and contains vibrant and twisty handmade lampwork glass and dichroic (color-shifting) glass pieces. The second object cell is completely clear and contains handmade lampwork glass pieces in translucent, rich jewel toned colors. The body houses a large 45-45-90 degree tapered mirror system creating a 3-dimensional image which looks like a series of squares that ultimately form a spiky sphere of INCREDIBLE kaleidoscopic imagery. This scope won the 'People's Choice' award at the Brewster Society Convention of 1996. This is a collectors scope that is in perfect condition with sharp imagery. Measures approximately 12.75"T x 6.5"W(at the LARGE viewing port end) x 14.5"L, the cells are 4.25"Diameter. Titled (Wishes - Love), dated ('96), and signed (S. Moser) by the artist.
