'Wishes - Love' is a spectacular VINTAGE (1996) collector's parlor kaleidoscope by renowned American kaleidoscope artist Sherry Moser. The trilateral body was created in clear glass panels, sandblasted and painted with "Kanji" (Japanese for "wish") then hand painted color was added. Handmade, richly textured black paper was then placed beneath the clear glass panels. Black glass rods accent the edges with exquisitely fancy soldering overall, and there are three accent stones on the stone textured base of the piece. The turning, oil-filled, black background object cell contains vibrant and twisty handmade lampwork glass and dichroic (color-shifting) glass pieces. The body houses a large, 45-45-90 degree, tapered 3-mirror system which creates a 3-Dimensional image resembling a series of squares that ultimately form a central spiky sphere of INCREDIBLE kaleidoscopic imagery. This is a collectors scope in excellent condition with sharp imagery. Measures approximately 12.75"T x 6.5"W(at the LARGE viewing port end) x 14.5"L, the cell is 4.25"Diameter. Titled (Wishes - Love), dated ('96), and signed (S. Moser) by the artist.
NOTE: The last set of 5 internal images shows the effect of adjusting a light source, without having to turn the object cell, to alter the visual you see ... pure MAGIC!
