"Jupiter in Canary Wood" is the creation of Michael Redmond. Made from Canary Wood with a double curved acrylic wand fabricated by Michael and filled with his own lampworked glass. The 3-dimensional design of the "Jupiter" and the unique double curved wand accentuate the creative flow of this unique art piece. The design of the "Jupiter's" unique wand with the black background makes this a side-lit kaleidoscope. When viewing the "Jupiter", tilt the wand at a comfortable angle so the lampworked glass can flow freely past the mirrors in a continuous burst of color while looking through the viewing port in the bottom of the scope. Scope is a 3-mirror system, it measures 20-1/2"T x 8"W x 5-1/2" in diameter at the base, and it weighs 3-1/2 lbs.
