'Maple - O/G' is a fantastic handheld kaleidoscope by American artists Steve & Luanne Lelewer. The body was created from Maple wood, a dense, durable domestic hardwood known for its pale cream sapwood and smooth, tight grain, and features two inlaid stripes of gorgeous, vibrant iridescent glass on the body and around the turning end. The object cell is oil-filled, turning, side-lit, with a black background and contains pretty lamp-worked glass, assorted glass beads, twisted wire, dichroic (color-shifting) glass bits, and other sparkly items. The body houses a 3-mirror, 5-point system which creates beautiful, traditional, “full-view" kaleidoscopic imagery. Measures approximately 9.5”L X 2.75”Diameter at the viewing end. Marked with the artists logo and includes a wooden stand.
NOTE: Because each scope is individually handmade by the artist and nature, variations in style and colors of the iridescent glass can be expected.
