'S.F. OOAK Series ~Parlour #77' (VINTAGE/COLLECTORS 1989) is a traditional Kaleidoscope by American master scope maker Glenn M. Straub. The beautiful body and base of this scope were created from various hand-turned solid hardwoods. This piece can be enjoyed as a parlor OR a handheld kaleidoscope because as it spins swiftly and freely in the base, it also lifts out easily to hold in your hand as you view. The body houses a 2-mirror, 7-point system, with a smooth turning, end-lit, dry object chamber that includes handmade lamp-worked glass, fluid-filled ampules, and tiny antique watch parts, with a frosted white background. The internal mandala-style kaleidoscopic imagery is delicately crisp, vivid, and utterly spectacular. Piece measures approximately 14"T x 11"L x 3.25"Diameter at the viewing end and 6.25"Diameter at the stand/base. Titled (S.F.
