'Sato Parlor' is a cheerful parlor kaleidoscope by Japanese artist and scope master, Motohiro Sato. This perfectly flawless, beautiful blown glass kaleidoscope has a smooth turning, fluid-filled, front and side lit, glass object cell which contains Motohiro's handmade, lamp-worked glass bits and pieces, many of which have delicate black edges, adding to the complexity of the internal designs. With a precise 3-mirror, 10-point system this piece creates utterly stunning, delicate, and colorful kaleidoscopic imagery. Measures approximately 11"T x 9"L, and 4-1/2" in diameter at the base.
Lighting note: Illuminating the cell from the side was best for shooting internal images and using bright, diffused room lighting was best for enjoying with the naked eyes. A dark room with a mini-flashlight will produce deeper jewel tones. The last 3 internal images are of the scope unturned, just the lights were changed, with the last image shit with a UV Black Light, just to experiment. This scope is almost TOO satisfying overall, just pure perfection.
