'The Rose' is a wonderful handheld kaleidoscope, part of the 'Flower Series' by American artists and scope making masters, Peggy & Steve Kittelson. The scope body features a single gorgeous Rose created with fused glass on a white slumped glass barrel. This scope has a turning, side-lit, oil-filled object cell with a black background that contains Peggy's handmade lamp-worked glass pieces, including teeny glass roses, and has a 2-mirror, 8-point system. Piece includes a hand turned hardwood base lined with black suede. Measures approximately 10.25"L x 2.25"Diameter at the cell end. Titled (The Rose), dated (1998), numbered (#8 of 75), and signed (Peggy & Steve Kittelson) by the artists.
